SAN FRANCISCO , Jan. 11, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- For its fifth consecutive year, the San Francisco Chronicle, Northern California’s largest newspaper, is pleased to announce the nominating committee of its VisionSF program. The committee is made up of seven exemplary Bay Area leaders, including three Bay Area mayors. The committee is responsible for identifying local changemakers and potential nominees for the Visionary of the Year Award.

From January 2019 to April 2019, the San Francisco Chronicle, in print and online () will recognize the six finalists for the award. The 2019 Visionary of the Year will be announced on March 27, 2019 at a private award dinner. There will be a dedicated VisionSF special section, featuring the winner, nominees and award dinner, both in print and online April 7, 2019.
