Ann Arbor SPARK Presents Third Annual Tech Talk on June 7

Ann Arbor SPARK presents its third annual Tech Talk at the Michigan Theater as part of the a2Tech360 series of events. Doors will open at 9 a.m. with the program beginning at 10 a.m. This free event, sponsored by PNC Bank and Wacker Chemical, features inspiring TED-style talks from some of Ann Arbor’s most interesting and impactful business leaders. Presenters will offer key insights on evolving innovations, research, and technology.

“The Ann Arbor region has earned its status as an area of innovation,” said Paul Krutko, Ann Arbor SPARK’s president and CEO. “The beauty of Tech Talk is that the region’s visionaries have an opportunity to share the remarkable technology being developed here, as well as illustrate the creative journey taken to achieve noteworthy outcomes.”

This year’s Tech Talk speakers are:

  • Joram Clervius, senior software engineer and team lead, Nexient
  • Lee Dobryden, software engineering supervisor, FordLabs
  • Danny Ellis, CEO and co-founder, SkySpecs
  • Kevin Guthrie, president, ITHAKA
  • Talbot Hack, director of DDoS & network visibility product management, NETSCOUT
  • John Mclaughlin, senior director – Ann Arbor site leader, KLA
  • Elisabeth Michel, CEO and co-founder, Canopy
  • Erin Rose, founder and CEO, and Matthew Attou, CTO, Every Two Minutes
  • Linda Teaman, principal CEO, Shoshana Technologies
  • Dawn Verbrigghe, founder and CEO, Jottful
  • Brock Wackerle, corporate brand manager and SEO strategist, DaySmart Software

Immediately following Tech Talk, from noon to 7 p.m., Bank of Ann Arbor will present Live at Tech Trek on the corner of Washington and S. Fifth Avenue in downtown Ann Arbor. Washington Street between S. Fifth Avenue and Division will be closed for the music festival and Ann Arbor SPARK’s Mobility Row, featuring self-driving shuttles and leading-edge connected and autonomous mobility technology.
